Germany has an unforgettable location right in the center of the European Continent which offers comprehensive Eurail links to most other countries in Europe. Traveling through Germany on the train is a breeze, due to one of the world’s most efficient and speedy rail networks spanning all over the beautiful nation. These rail networks crisscross a plethora of inspiring landscapes, from Alpine peaks to low-lying coastal plains, from dense forests to river valleys, passing hillside vineyards, craggy bluffs topped by medieval castles, and other scenes straight from the pages of a fairy tale.

The German rail network is set up to be a very cost effective and efficient means for getting around the large Country. With a vast number of inner-city trains running constantly during the day, the German train system is just as efficient. When entering a train station you will need to purchase a ticket from the machine. You can only buy a train ticket with EUR but you can use any denomination below twenty including coins or bills. Simply select your destination from the list shown, enter the destination number and push the Einzelfahrt button. Your change will fall along with your ticket to the tray. If you are planning to travel by the Eurail from Frankfurt to France, for example, you may choose to ride the ICE train. This train is the fast one and makes for a quick ride in between shorter distances.
The German people are known for their great food, beer, smiles and of course efficiency. This is of course reflected right through their transport system. Their rail system is first class and makes traveling from city to city a true pleasure. Most of the large German cities have an underground rail system with a frequent snappy service.
